Avery Weigh-Tronix, LLC announces that Measurement Intelligence (MI) Payload Version 1.05, the latest version of the company’s robust software for truck scale applications, is now available. Initially released in 2008, MI Payload allows for simple documentation of key data, including vehicles, customers and the weight or quantity of inbound and outbound commodities. The advanced capabilities of this software allow users to log, manage and update data to a PC from a single scale or an elaborate network of truck scales. The newest version merges the sophisticated networking and programming capabilities of the first MI Payload versions with additional tools—developed in response to user feedback—to increase usability and enhance documentation.

MI Payload Version 1.05 has four new features designed to increase user productivity, site efficiency and document information important for ensuring legal and procedural compliance:

  • Image capture lets users store images of vehicles and commodities and allows live feeds broadcasted within the weighing screen for quick and easy validation and transaction capture.
  • A company is now able to gather and store data on individual drivers using the driver records feature.
  • Using the stock locations option, customers can now easily direct where commodities should be taken within their facility—saving time and ensuring inventory is always in the correct location.
  • Gatehouse facilities can record and recall vehicles and individuals—onsite or remotely—using the visitor log option.

“Avery Weigh-Tronix strives to produce top-tier software to better manage weighing processes for drivers and scale operators to really drive greater value from their truck scale installation,” said Simon Hallam, Software Product Manager at Avery Weigh-Tronix. “MI Payload v. 1.05 enhances the best features of previous versions of this software—we took real customer feedback and, along with detailed market research, incorporated it into our product to develop the most effective software solution available for truck scale transactions.”

Utilizing the Microsoft® SQL 2005 database, MI Payload Version 1.05 is compatible with both the Microsoft Windows® XP and Microsoft Vista operating systems. An intuitive interface and simple operating procedures allow for faster user training and increased productivity at weigh stations.
